Wedding photographers Ben Franks and Steve May captured the moment the couple stopped to chat to the man, later identified as Miller Patane, and offered him some cake.
“We had the privilege of photographing and videoing the wedding of Bronia and Fabrizio in Auckland,” one2one photography wrote in a Facebook post.
“We captured this moment after the ceremony … this just reflects the generosity and spirit of two very special people who take the time to really help people in need. It’s impossible to witness a moment like this and not be emotional.”
Mr May, who is originally from the UK, added: “When some people can be down on their luck, a simple offering of a piece of wedding cake and a cigarette shared with the groom made this homeless man sob for a long time.”
