One of the greatest joys of a happy childhood is the anticipation of a birthday party, but not every child gets to experience that joy. Maggie Mays of Boones Mill knows all too well what it’s like to feel alienated, stuck indoors and away from other people on her birthday.
“Maggie’s immunity concerns have kept her from having a birthday party with friends previously since her birthday occurs during the heart of cold and flu season,” said Maggie’s mother, Robin Mays.
