A 4-month-old Iranian girl suffering from a rare condition who was affected by US President Donald Trump’s Muslim ban is now doing well and making good progress after her life-saving surgery last Friday.
The Iranian girl, Fatemeh Reshad, and her parents were about to enter the United States with a travel visa for Fatemeh’s surgery but their visa was canceled last month after Trump’s entry band went into effect.
Trump’s order banned immigrants and refugees of seven Muslim majority countries, including Iran, from entering the United States.
Fatemeh and her parents arrived in Portland a few days after their visa to the U.S. was cancelled due to Trump’s temporary ban.
