SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Hundreds of people hit the dance floor for the South High Marathon Dance, raising 823,614.91 for dozens of local individuals and organizations.
That’s more than $61,000 more than the 2016 total of $762,153.87.
The fundraiser is now in its 40th year, and has raised millions of dollars for more than 400 beneficiaries over the years.
This year, dancers honored Tpr. Timothy Pratt, who was killed in the line of duty last year.
Pratt was part of the dance as a student, then volunteered for years.
