In June, Harvey the cat of Denver went missing. Nine months later, he was found in a deep hole nearly 800 miles away looking much like something he or another feline might have dragged in.
The microchipped wonder was pulled from a 25-foot hole at a construction site in a Dallas suburb, caked in mud but apparently none the worse for wear.
His owner, Jackie Ewer, told KMGH-Channel 7 that she’ll be traveling to Texas for a Sunday reunion. She was notified by animal services officials who spent six hours pulling Harvey from the construction site on March 2. They cleaned him up, found his chip and discovered he had been reported missing.
The mystery of Harvey’s journey aside, Ewer told Channel 7 she’s just relieved he wasn’t nabbed by a coyote.
