NORFOLK — When it comes to curating art, Chrysler Museum staffers are experts.
When it comes to dancing, they know a thing or two as well.
With some help from their docents and Sherwood Elementary School students, Chrysler Museum of Art staffers jerked, twisted and mash potatoed across the museum last week to create a music video featuring Wilson Pickett’s “Land of 1,000 Dances.”
The three-minute long video serves as the museum’s submission to “When You Work at a Museum,” an international dance-off that sets the stage for a battle of the boots between art lovers.
Participating museums have posted their videos to the contest website. Now it’s the world’s turn to decide who has the fanciest feet.
Wednesday marks the first day of voting for the Chrysler’s video. Viewers can vote as often as they’d like to until 8 a.m. on Thursday.
