Seven helpless duck chicks had to be rescued by the police and the fire department in the main street in the afternoon at 4:03 pm.
The animals were in a flower box on the second floor. One animal had already fallen down from a height of 7 meters. A ladder was placed in position.
At the same time, the next procedure was coordinated with a bird expert and keeper. Gently, the small animals were caught by two firefighters. Three police officers supported the measure. The main road had to be completely blocked.
Seven deployments were deployed with three vehicles over an hour. The animals are now transported to Hattingen to a bird expert.
