The Rathdangan organisation placed a note on its Facebook page on Thursday, in the hopes of finding a family to adopt the “shy” pooch, which garnered a huge reaction from the local community.
After spotting Angel’s photo a Wicklow family arranged a meeting with the dog, during which they really hit it off.
An update posted on the page on Sunday said: “Angel has been booked to a home. Her future owners came over today to meet our shy girl and it seems that everything is going in the good direction.”
