WALLACE, N.C. (WITN) – More than $200,000 has been raised for one national nonprofit organization known for helping those who bravely served and sacrificed for our country.
A group of retired flag officers and celebrities joined service members, civilians and sponsors for the annual Hope for the Warriors Invitational golf tournament at River Landing Country Club in Wallace.
The multi-day event began with a community block party on Aug. 19th, a traditional military mess at Warrior Night on Aug. 20th, and then the golf tournament kicked off on the 21st.
The money raised will be used to fulfill their mission of restoring self, family and hope for service members, veterans and their families.
