Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel gifted his World Series tickets on Oct. 31 to his son’s heart surgeon, Us Weekly reported.
The series between the L.A. Dodgers and Houston Astros ended Nov. 1 with Houston winning its first-ever championship title.
About six months ago, Kimmel shared publicly the ordeal he and his wife faced after the birth of their second child, William “Billy” Kimmel.
The host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” took last week off for his 6-month-old son’s follow-up heart surgery, but the surgery was postponed, according to Us Weekly.
“Officially, I was off because my son Billy was supposed to have his next heart surgery. But we had to postpone it because we all had colds,” Kimmel told the audience Monday when he returned to the show. “But the truth is, I was waiting in line for the new iPhone all week.”
