It seems Chelsea Handler has been busy working on making the world a better place, one citizen at a time, since announcing she’d be leaving her Netflix show to focus on political activism.
The comedian has offered to pay for a total stranger’s $700/month health care costs.
You’ll recall, Handler revealed she was quitting “Chelsea” after two seasons via Twitter in October. She said, “The past presidential election and the countless events that have unfolded since have galvanized me” and she promised to devote “as much time as I can to becoming a more knowledgeable and engaged citizen.”
Over the weekend, Handler tweeted about the Affordable Care Act, urging her followers to sign up regardless of their political party affiliation. She asked everyone to read the site carefully, saying “80% of people can get healthcare under $75 a month.”
