A 9-year-old boy in a Cleveland suburb is getting in the holiday spirit by paying it forward to the less fortunate in his community, and the community is taking notice of his selfless act.
Mikah Frye, of Beachwood, Ohio, was with his grandma, Terry Brant, when he noticed homeless people outside in the cold and wanted to do something to help.
“He said, ‘you can buy them a blanket,’ and I said ‘do you want to give up one Christmas gift to get a blanket to give to someone:’ And he said okay and when he got home, he later said if the XBox is $300, and the blankets are $10 then I can buy 30 blankets,” Brant told WJW in Cleveland earlier this month.
