The well-fed dogs of “Horror House” couple David and Louise Turpin have found a new home, officials announced.
The two female Maltese mixes — a black one named Fluffy and a white one with no known name — who were deemed healthier than the 13 starving Turpin children were placed with a family Monday, The Mercury News reported.
“We are pleased to know the two dogs will go to a home where they will be well treated and loved,” said Perris, Calif., spokesman Joe Vargo.
Animal control officials had received two applications from people seeking to adopt the pups. The city held a raffle and inspected the winning home before turning over the dogs, who were spayed an immunized prior to being placed.
The family requested to remain anonymous because of media coverage about the 1-year-old dogs’ last home.
