OAK CREEK, WI — When a woman lost a $5,000 wedding ring in a grocery store parking lot, police found the man who took it, and got it back for her that day.
Oak Creek police responded to the Woodman’s just after 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 on a report that a woman lost a wedding ring and could not find it.
According to reports, the woman was at Woodman’s around 1:30 p.m. She got out of her car, and the ring – which was on her lap at the time – reportedly fell onto the parking lot.
The ring was described as gold in color, and had approximately 17 diamonds. It was valued at between $4,500-$5,000.
Reports indicated that the store’s loss prevention officer was able to review security footage and found that a suspect found the ring, picked it up, pocketed it and drove off.
