A married US couple who had no photos with which to remember their 1946 vows have participated in a wedding photo shoot more 70 years later.
Louisiana residents Ferris and Margaret Romaire’s were treated to the shoot by granddaughter Amanda Kleckley for their 70th anniversary, The Huffington Post reports.
The photos – which show Mr Romaire, 90, in a tuxedo, and Ms Romaire, 89, in a wedding gown – depict the happy couple laughing, kissing and celebrating in an open field as the sun sets behind them.
“You can see the love between them in the way they interacted with each other and laughed together as we would go from the different poses,” Ms Kleckley told The Huffington Post.
“They are a beautiful example of what marriage is meant to be.”
Ms Kleckley said her grandparents’ marriage was a humble affair with a 15-minute ceremony and a reception at Ms Romaire’s parent’s home.
