2016: The year Santa saved Christmas, in Everett, Pa.
Ryan Kennedy, the manager of a Walmart branch in the small town of Everett (population 1,700), received a phone call from the anonymous “Santa B” last week. The conversation that passed between the two resulted in Mr. Claus saying he’d pay the entire cost of the store’s layaway items, CNN reports.
Kennedy told CNN that “it was complete disbelief. It was definitely a great gesture.”
Santa B informed the store manager that he would pay for every layaway item on hold — amounting to $46,265.59.
