Raynard Nebbitt, of south St. Louis, bikes up Lansdowne Avenue while balancing a handmade 4-foot scale model of the South Rock Hill Road bridge on his handlebars Friday, August 21, 2017, in Webster Groves. Since moving from North Gore Avenue in Webster Groves two years ago, Nebbitt bikes for more an hour each day to get to the bridge, which was officially named Raynard Nebbitt Crossing in 2005. “We tried to get him to move to another bridge (when we moved from Webster Groves),” said Raynard’s sister, Kathy Nebbitt. “But he wouldn’t do it. There’s just something about the Rock Hill Road overpass. [Raynard] loves trains, truck honkers and that bridge.” Photo by Morgan Timms, [email protected]
