Gaza resident Mohammed Taluli suffered from a rare severe medical condition that Israeli doctors had never encountered before: His hand was covered in strange tumors that had been growing for over a decade, causing what is also known as “tree man syndrome”. “This is a very rare case which has no record at all in medical books,” stated Orthopedist Dr. Chernovsky, who specializes in hands and plastic surgery at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center where Taluli was treated.
